Rules may be revised to promote fairness, or if seen to be the best interest for the sport, 1 week prior to any event without notice.
General Rules
A. Each ATV is limited to 2 Classes. You may race up, not down. ATV’s may not be shared by more than one rider to acquire points, with the exception of husband and wife, to be used in the women's class only!
B. Females may enter any class that their machine qualifies for as well as the
women’s class when offered.
C. Drivers must race an ECMR registered race vehicle or ECMR substituted vehicle as long as substitute form has been completed.
D. All vehicles entered in ECMR events must have a form of retrieval attached. Tow hooks, winches or tow ropes will provide a means for rescue.
E. Riders must be at least 16 years of age.
F. Starting positions will be determined by random drawing of lane position numbers. #1 will be left lane while #4 will be far right lane.
G. ECMR reserves the right to place drivers in correct class if driver registered his or her vehicle in the wrong class.
H. False starts will be recognized by restaging all racers on 1st offenses. 2nd offenders will be disqualified. It will be left to the ECMR official to decide if there was a false start made. If there is a false start made and the official determines there was no advantage gained, there may be no action taken.
I. Drivers must keep their machines inside of marked race course at all times during the heat. Drivers who exit the race course will be receiving a black flag.
J. Drivers, spectators or any other persons may not intentionally touch or aid any
other driver during a heat.
K. Stock or production aftermarket fenders are required.

N. Anyone who qualifies for 2010 ECMR rules and is in good health and physical
condition may compete in ECMR sanctioned events. Only ECMR registered drivers will be eligible for points, championship payouts, and prizes.
Entry Requirements
In order to compete in an ECMR sanctioned Event, a Licensed Competitor must submit and have an approved entry, in the form required by ECMR, for the Event. No telephone entries will be accepted.
It is the responsibility of the Member/Racer to obtain the appropriate entry form, and to ascertain and abide by all applicable deadlines and instructions. The mailing of such forms to Competitors does not relieve them of this responsibility.
When a Competitor submits an Official Entry Blank or informs a Promoter or ECMR that the Competitor will attempt to compete in an Event, and the entry is accepted, the Competitor becomes obligated to attempt to compete in the Event.
Bike Registration/Substitution
Each Member is required to register their race vehicle in each class they participate in. They will be allowed to substitue their vehicle one time throughout the season. This will be monitored to the best of the ECMR’s ability throughout the year; however, in the event that the ECMR does not catch a substitute, any racer will be eligible to protest the particular vehicle in question for $50. Once the protest is seen to be legit, the person who made the protest will be refunded, in a non legit protest is made the money will be kept by the ECMR. If found to have illegally substituted a vehicle, the racer will still be allowed to race, but will lose any points gained by the substitution and penalized 20 points for not notifying the ECMR of the substitution.
Inspection
Each racer is responsible for registering their vehicle in the appropriate class. There will be no pre-race inspection to determine the vehicles eligibility. However, any member may protest any vehicle in question at any point before or after the race. The ECMR will make all efforts to catch any vehicle during the competition, competing illegally. Any vehicle noticed to be illegal for the current class may be disqualified by an ECMR official! The top three vehicles in each class may be subject to a post race inspection preformed by an ECMR official.
Racer Conduct
All Competitors/Crew are required to represent themselves and their respective sponsors, teams and clubs in a way that should present the
ECMR, Promoter’s and the public as well as any media attention in a positive, competitive and family friendly environment. Any Competitor/Crew reported or found not supporting this venture will be subject to imposing penalties, disqualifications, suspensions, and/or subtraction of points.
Start/Finish Line
The race start/finish line is unique to each ECMR sanctioned Event. The Official Event race start/finish line will be indicated at each Event. The indication of the Official start/finish line will be discussed at the pre race Competitors meetings.
Race Procedures
All races will be double elimination. Some races may be two wide, three wide, or even four wide, depending on entries and pits. In the instance where the race is ran three/four wide only the winner advances in the winner’s bracket, second/third/fourth will continue on in the loser’s bracket.
